Dungeon Master DevLog - Week 1


Week 1

Hello everyone! I’m working on Dungeon Master. A reverse-roguelike where you play as the cursed boss at the end of a dungeon and must guide the hero through numerous challenges until they become strong enough to defeat you.

In this inaugural devlog, I’m excited to announce the game has moved out of Alpha and into Beta production.

What does this mean?

Moving out of Alpha means all the game’s major systems and mechanics are built into the engine and working as intended, and from here on out development will focus on content updates and quality of life improvements.

What’s in the future?

As more content gets added, there will be the opportunity for the public to try out open beta builds of the game. My current goal is to have a public build of the game available within the next 2 months, if not sooner.

As these devlogs are posted weekly. I’ll be sure to highlight new features as they’re added, as well as looking back on technical challenges I’ve faced, and showing how I’ve overcome them.
